About me

I am a life-long artist. I want to use my art to salute Black Beauty, Culture and History!

I remember loving to draw even before I could read or write, so I made the stories up in my head and drew the pictures to match. Now years later as a mother and grandmother I still love drawing portraits and illustrating children’s books. I wrote a few children’s books myself that I can’t wait to complete and publish.

Some of my favorite medias are watercolors, acrylics and my current passion is digital art. 

I live in a south suburb of Chicago, Dixmoor, IL. I am surrounded by creativity with three sons who are artists. They are visual artists, film makers, singers, rappers and actors. My daughter is a talented writer. My husband is crafty too with interior design and carpentry.
